HALT Summit Melbourne 2023

05/06/2023 TRB Staff

It was a privilege to attend the HALT summit in Melbourne recently with Tasmania’s Highly Accomplished and Lead teachers. Hundreds of HALT’s, aspiring HALTs, school leaders, senior systems delegates and regulatory authorities came together. This summit provided a great opportunity to connect with experts who shared their experiences and discussed the HALT processes. Keynote speakers and innovators from across the country encouraged us to consider ways of supporting teachers to lead change, build the profession and enhance the status of teachers. There is currently a new draft framework for national certification of Highly Accomplished and Lead teachers under consultation with AITSL.

Congratulations to our two recently HALT accredited teachers Bridgette Bye – Lead teacher and Karyn Kleinman Highly – Accomplished Teacher for achieving this significant milestone in their career. This accreditation demonstrates their commitment to quality teaching and their validation as effective leaders.
