Office Staff

Kerrie Moss is the Chief Executive Officer of the Teachers Registration
Board. She was appointed from 20 April 2009 and is responsible for leading,
directing and managing the operations of the Board, so that it effectively
discharges its functions as prescribed in the
Teachers Registration Act 2000. She also provides strategic advice to the
Board and the Minister on matters relating to teacher registration, the
implementation of the Act and the operations of the Teachers Registration Board.
There is a total of 4 FTE permanent staff, with extra 'casual' staff employed
when needed to help with peak workloads.

Mandy Reynolds-Smith is the Manager Professional
Standards and Registration. Mandy's key responsibility is the management and
support of the processes associated with teachers wishing to apply to change
from ‘provisional registration’ to ‘full registration’. A particular area of
expertise is the assessment of competence using professional teaching
standards.

Margot Patten is the
Manager Registration and Administration. Amongst her many duties, she manages
the processes for registration and limited authorities to teach. Margot is the
point of contact for more complex enquiries for both registration and LAT
matters.

The
Clerk duties are shared by: Sharon Sampson (Mon–Tues), Louisa Harpham
(Wednesday), Trish Ziegler (Wednesday - Fri) and Faye Taylor (Thurs–Fri). As
well as the initial processing and data entry of applications, they handle
general counter and phone enquiries.

Julie
Hunt is our project officer. Julie manages the website, provides technical
support for the database and assists with all IT, communication and
promotion/marketing activities.
